Liverpool VS Manchester City Match Preview

As if a meeting with the Premier League leaders was not difficult enough, Liverpool will be aware that a Manchester City backlash could be on the cards this weekend.

The Reds will head into Sunday's game in positive mood, with a seven-match unbeaten run keeping them within touching distance of the top four.

They will also be fresh, with no European action at Anfield this season meaning there can be no excuses when the Premier League takes centre stage.

Kenny Dalglish has already seen his side overcome Arsenal and Chelsea this term, while only a late equaliser allowed Manchester United to leave Merseyside with something to show for their efforts.

Liverpool can also boast an impressive record against City in recent times, with six wins and two draws taken from their last eight meetings at Anfield.

In fact, the Reds have lost only one of their last 12 top-flight matches against their North West rivals.
Dalglish's men came out on top the last time the two sides locked horns, with Andy Carroll netting twice in a 3-0 victory back in April.

That match represents the last time City failed to score in the league, with 52 goals plundered in 18 games since.

Liverpool are also the last side to score more than two goals against the Blues, with Roberto Mancini's side having shipped just 14 since their forgettable visit to Anfield.

Such fine form has City sat proudly atop of the Premier League table, with 11 victories taken from their opening 12 fixtures this term.

It is, however, abroad that the Blues have struggled, with Mancini's men in danger of slipping out of the UEFA Champions League at the group stage.

A 2-1 reversal against Napoli on Tuesday has left their European fate hanging in the balance, with favours now required from elsewhere.

A disappointing showing on Italian soil will have been put to the back of their minds, though, by the time they take to the field on Sunday, with City looking to respond positively to a rare setback.

It could be quite some afternoon on Merseyside, with both sides boasting frontmen in imperious form.
Luis Suarez continues to go from strength to strength for Liverpool, while Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli have been regular sources of goals for City.

Team news

Dalglish is likely to keep changes to a minimum as Liverpool attempt to bring some stability to their season.
Defender Jamie Carragher, who returned to the squad for last week's win at Chelsea but could only make the bench, may have to settle for a place among the substitutes again.

Winger Stewart Downing will be pushing for a recall having been dropped last week after starting the first 11 league matches but captain Steven Gerrard is still not fit to return from an ankle infection.
Manchester City have no fresh injury or suspension concerns to contend with, with Balotelli having recovered from a fever, but Mancini is likely to shuffle his pack.

Gareth Barry and Samir Nasri will be pushing for a recall after being left on the bench on Tuesday.
Aguero will also be hoping to start, with a cameo appearance in Naples suggesting he is over a slight knock and ready to lead the line.

Micah Richards will be another hoping to get the nod against the Reds after being omitted from Mancini's midweek European plans.

Keys to Finding the Perfect Portrait Location

Learn to choose great portrait photography locations. Put your subject at ease, capture their personality, and guarantee stunning photos. One of the most important aspects of portrait photography is picking a suitable location. Your choice will drive all other decisions about the shoot, including what lighting and props to take, which clothes the subject should wear, and the most suitable poses to use.

Shooting in a studio with a plain background is a popular choice, but it can be expensive, and these types of shots have been done a million times. You can usually get much more interesting, engaging pictures by using your imagination and choosing a more unusual portrait location.

Choose a Meaningful Place

It's easy to choose a portrait location based on convenience. For example, if you live near a leafy park, it's tempting to use that as your default shooting location. But while this may look attractive, it's not always the best option.

Two musicians on the street
Select a meaningful location which reflects your subject's personality.

Remember that every subject is a unique individual, with their own personality. This is what makes them so interesting, and it's something you should try to capture in every portrait you take. Choosing a suitable location is an important part of this.
Take the time to get to know your subject. Find out about their hobbies and favourite places and incorporate them into your photography. If they're an avid horse rider, shoot them at their stables; if they love to surf, go to their local beach.
By using a location that means something to your subject, you'll get much more personal, meaningful photos. As an added bonus, they're likely to feel more relaxed, helping you capture more natural-looking shots.

Use Natural Lighting

Most professional portrait photographers swear by natural lighting, and some refuse to shoot in anything else. If possible, choose a brightly lit location which offers plenty of diffused, natural light.

Woman in field
Choose a location with plenty of soft, natural lighting.

When shooting outdoors it's important to avoid the direct midday sun as this produces very harsh shadows. Look for some light shade such as an overhanging tree or covered seating area, where the sunlight is softer and more flattering. Alternatively, shoot in the morning or early evening when the sun isn't as strong.
If you're shooting indoors, try to position your subject near a large window so that you can make the most of any available natural light. Depending on your budget and the equipment you have available you can compliment this with some artificial lighting if necessary.

Set Up Near Shelter

If you choose an outdoor portrait location, there's always a chance that the weather will spoil the party. Sometimes you'll just have to take a chance and hope it stays dry, but try to have a backup in case the weather turns bad.

Woman behind glass with rain running down it
Anticipating bad weather means you can stop it ruining your shoot, or even incorporate it into your photos.

Look for a location which has some sort of shelter nearby, such as a bridge, bandstand, or cafe. These can be life-savers during a quick shower, helping you keep yourself, your equipment, and your subject dry - particularly important if they're paying!
If the weather gets really bad you may even be able to move your whole photoshoot under cover. With open-sided shelter you can often recompose to keep a natural background behind your subject, and as long as the lighting is good enough nobody will ever tell you weren't fully outdoors.

Choose Somewhere Quiet

Crowded places, like cities or busy public parks, are among the worst locations for a portrait shoot. You'll be constantly waiting for people to move out of frame and dealing with questions from passers-by, plus your subject will probably feel very self-conscious and struggle to relax.

Man standing on a beach
Shoot in a quiet place to avoid disturbances and help your subject relax.

Finding a quiet, secluded location is not as difficult as it might seem. If you must shoot in a city, get off the beaten track - by moving just a few hundred yards away you can usually find a spot where you and your subject can set up undisturbed.
Better still, avoid cities altogether and head for remote beaches, grassy fields, and woodland. These all provide great backdrops to a portrait photo, and are often completely deserted, giving you free-reign to move around and experiment with different poses and angles.

Don't Let the Location Distract

A suitable location is crucial in portrait photography, but always remember that it's not the main subject, so don't let it overpower your scene. From time to time during your shoot, check the photos you've taken - if your eye is drawn more to the scenery than the subject, you're putting too much emphasis on the wrong thing.

Girl photographed against blurred background
Your location should never take attention away from your subject.

A simple and effective technique is to open your lens's aperture up nice and wide. This puts the background out of focus, preventing it from being too distracting, creating a sense of depth in the scene, and drawing the viewer's eye to the main subject.

Choosing an effective portrait location takes time and thought, but it's something that you should always aim to get right. By doing so you'll be able to tell a story with your pictures, and capture the essence of your subject's personality, resulting in much more engaging, personal photos.

Eid al-Adha Festival

Eid al-Adha: The Festival of Sacrifice

Eid al-Adha is one of two Islamic Eid festivals that Muslims celebrate, the origin of which comes from the Quran. Also known as Hari Raya Haji, Hari Raya Kurban, Qurban, or the Festival of Sacrifice, the Eid al-Adha is one of the several religious festivals celebrated by Muslims all over the word. Here, the Muslim community commemorates God’s forgiveness of Ibrahim, or Abraham, from his promise to sacrifice his own son Ishmael as commanded by Allah.

When is Hari Raya Haji 2011 / Eid al-Adha 2011 / Qurban 2011 ?
The Hari Raya Haji festival annually falls on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja of the lunar Islamic Calendar. It runs for two to three days, or even more, depending on the country celebrating it. Eid ul-Adha happens the day after pilgrims perform Hajj, or the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide. The pilgrimage is done approximately seventy days after the end of the month of Ramadan.
The festival is based on the Islamic lunar calendar, and thus in Gregorian calendar the date changes every year. Hari Raya Kurban 2011 is expected to fall on Sunday, 6 November 2011. However since the festival is determined by moon position based on moon-sighting, the exact date of the Hari Raya Haji 2011 will be announced by the Islamic authority closer to the festival.

What Is Expected During Hari Raya Haji 2011 / Kurban 2011?

Men, women, and children of the Muslim community are required to dress in their finest clothing to perform the Eid prayer. Well-off Muslim devotees sacrifice their best domestic animals, usually sheep, cows, goats and even camels, as a reenactment of Ibrahim’s sacrifice. These sacrificed animals, or udhiya, have to meet certain age (the animal must be at least a year old) and quality or else it is considered as an unacceptable sacrifice. During the sacrifice ceremony, Allah’s name is recited with the offering statement and a supplication, as said by Prophet Muhammad.
According to the Quran, ample portions of the sacrificed animal meat should be given to the poor and hungry, so that they too can join in the festivities. The remainder of the meat is cooked for the family celebration meal, wherein it is shared among friends and families. During the celebration, Muslims are also expected to visit their kin, from their parents down to their friends.

Eid al-adha 2011 in South Asia

In India and Pakistan, the Eid al-adha is called Bari Eid, which translates into Big Eid in English. Kashir calls it Baed Eid.

Eid al-adha 2011 in Africa

Eid al-adha 2011 is a public holiday in Nigeria. In South Africa, it is called Bakri Eid, which came from the Arabic word bagara, or “heifer” or the traditional sacrifice.

Hari Raya Haji 2011 in South East Asia

In the South East Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Brunei) it is call “Idul Adha” or “Aidil Adha”. It is also referred to as “Hari Raya Korban” or the Sacrifice Celebration Day. Another term, “Hari Raya Haji” or “Lebaran Haji” translates to the Celebration Day of the Hajj.
Hari Raya Haji 2011 is a public holiday in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia.
The “Aidil Adha” or the Sacrifice Celebration Day is celebrated about two months after Aidilfitri, particularly on the 10th day of Zulhijah, or the 12th month of the Muslim calendar, marking the end of the sacrificial period. Every year, Muslims trace their journey to the Holy Land of Mecca in Saudi Arabia to perform the haj: a requirement in the Islam religion. Muslims must perform the haj at least once in their lifetime. After the haj is performed, the men are given the title “haji” and the women “hajjah” .

Qurban 2011 in Middle East

Eid al-Adha is celebrated with big fervor in the Muslim-dominated Middle East countries. Commonly refered as Qurban, this festival of sacrifice is a major 2011 public holidays in Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Arab Emirates.

Misteri dan Mistik di Johor Bahru

Cerita 1: Lokasi Kipmart Masai.

Tahukah anda bahawa setiap surau ‘berpenghuni’?

Kemudian sekitar tahun 90-an villa tersebut mula kosong.
